Open Studio

Current students can drop into open studio every week to keep creating!

    • Our vibrant clay program offers a growing open studio schedule, with plenty of weekly slots for current students to create, connect, and unwind.

    • As our team grows, we’ll expand these gatherings—join us to shape both clay and community!

    • Eligible: Open studio welcomes all enrolled adult students to use the studio outside of class time (enrolled kiddos must be accompanied by an enrolled guardian, teen-wheel participants may be dropped off and unattended).

    • Sign Up: Reserve your spot online for wheel throwing. Wheels are saved for registered students for the first 30 minutes—secure yours and dive in!

    • Walk-Ins: Drop by if space allows—wheels and tables are limited, but we love spontaneous clay mates!

    • Purchases: Grab clay or specialty tools during signup or from the monitor while you chat and craft.

    • Share the space with kindness—keep noise gentle and workstations neat to foster a welcoming vibe for all.

    • Clean-Up: The last 15 minutes of open studio is reserved for clean-up. Plan to wrap up and tidy your area (wheel, tools, table) accordingly to allow for the monitor to close the building promptly at session end—leave it ready for the next friend. Know our policies (e.g., wet cleaning, no outside clay) and ask monitors if you need a hand.

    • During open studio, monitors:

      • Check in participants and spark quick hellos.

      • Sell clay and specialty tools while you get settled in.

      • Offer closure warnings (e.g., “15 minutes left!”) and nudge for extra cleanup if spotted.

      • Help you find your wares or clarify policies—think of them as studio guides!

    • Note: Monitors keep the flow, not teach one-on-one—bring your skills and swap tips with peers instead!

Unplanned Schedule Changes

  • We strive to keep our open studio schedule consistent, but sometimes unexpected hiccups—like staff shortages, facility issues, or last-minute conflicts—force us to adjust or cancel sessions.

  • If this happens, we’ll notify you as soon as possible via email (check your email tied to registration) and updates from the online calendar. We’re truly sorry for any inconvenience this causes—your time in the studio matters to us, and we’ll work to get things back on track fast!

Bonus Open Studio Times

  • Good news! When workshops don’t run as planned, we often free up extra open studio slots for you to enjoy. These bonus times are our way of maximizing your clay and community time!

  • We’ll announce these additions on the online calendar —keep an eye out for spontaneous chances to drop in, connect, and create.
