This membership is fully integrated into our vibrant studio community. You’ll share open studio time with students and fellow members, creating opportunities for connection, collaboration, and creative growth in a supportive environment.

  • Open Studio Hours

    • Sundays: 2:00–5:00 pm

    • Mondays: 10:00 am–8:00 pm

    • Tuesdays: 1:00–4:00 pm & 9:00–11:00 pm

    • Thursdays: 10:00 am–4:00 pm & 9:00–11:00 pm

    • Fridays: 1:00–4:00 pm

    (No open studio on Wednesdays or Saturdays)

    We will make every effort to maintain these hours from September through May, with only a few main holiday closures.

    June – August Open studio times will be adjusted due to our kids camps. We will do our best to limit changes and keep as many member-friendly hours as possible

  • 1 free registration per month (enroll up to 2 hours before — no walk-ins).

    Classes rotate (4–6 offered monthly): Tuesdays 10–12, Wednesdays 10–12, Fridays 6–8 pm, Saturdays (afternoons/evenings).

    Additional classes: $25 each

  • Included:

    • Studio Access

    • Private wet box (11" x 16" x 8") + dedicated clay storage space

    • All firings included + unlimited glazes, slips & stains

    • 1 member class/month (expire when subscription is terminated, otherwise rollover month-to-month)

    Important Notes:

    • Clay: $30 per 25 lb bag (must be cone 6; prefer our house clay)

    • Slip casting clay use: $1 per piece additional charge

    • 45% off all workshops for you + any family/friends (unlimited participants)

    • 25% off 8-week courses ($360 → $270)

    • Month-to-month, no contract — cancel before the 1st

    • Requirements: Completed an 8-week course + attend orientation + card on file

We are currently accepting deposits (your first month’s payment) to secure your spot. Membership officially begins September 1, 2026, once you have completed all requirements (including orientation & participation in 8-week or equivalent course at A Potter’s Place).

This membership is designed for serious, independent artists seeking a dedicated space to deepen their practice, develop new work, or take an artistic sabbatical. Includes access to private space & storage, extended studio access, & exclusive equipment.

  • We strive to provide consistent year-round access with the following general hours:

    • Sundays: 2:00–8:00 pm

    • Mondays: 10:00 am–8:00 pm

    • Tuesdays: 10:00 pm–11:00 pm (late)

    • Thursdays: 10:00 pm–11:00 pm (late)

    • Fridays: 1:00–4:00 pm

    Additional hours will be offered monthly depending on course schedules (e.g., Saturdays, Sunday mornings, Friday mornings). We will make every effort to maintain these hours year-round, with only main holiday closures.

  • 1 free member class registration per month (additional classes $25 each) + 45% off workshops for you + family/friends (unlimited) + 25% off 8-week courses.

  • Private Studio & Equipment

    • Your own private studio space reserved exclusively for Resident Artists, equipped with four wheels (one kick wheel + three Brent C electric wheels) and dedicated handbuilding tables.

    • Exclusive access to the studio’s vacuumed pug mill and double-jar ball mill.

    • Personal locker (10" x 16" x 10") and a generous ware shelf (24" x 24" x 20") for your evolving work.

    Materials & Firing

    • Full use of our entire range of class glazes, stains, and slips (food-safe options available).

    • Order clay and materials through the studio for direct delivery, or purchase from our in-house supply when available.

    • Kiln firing alongside class wares at no extra cost (bisque + cone 5/6).

    • Option to rent kiln space for personal glaze firings (priced by temperature, up to cone 10).

    Important Notes

    • Clay: $30 per 25 lb bag (Cone 6)

    • Glaze chemistry consultations and project support available at $75/hour.

    • This residency is intended for experienced artists. You must demonstrate strong competence working independently in clay. All residents are required to attend orientation and keep a card on file. Membership is month-to-month with no contract (cancel before the 1st).

      Stay inspired through member events including pottery swaps, glaze parties, and informal clay chats with fellow artists and instructors.

Available immediately—Start as soon as the application is accepted, payment is made, & orientation is completed. Applications must include a portfolio or documentation of proficiency working in clay.
